EMOP Berlin – European Month of Photography

took place in March 2023

In March 2023, EMOP Berlin celebrated its 10th edition. With the largest biennial festival of photographic images in Germany, Berlin once again showed itself as a centre of photography.

Museums, exhibition institutions, memorial sites, archives, libraries, collections, cultural institutes, photography schools as well as private or public galleries and project spaces from Berlin and Potsdam developed exhibitions and other formats with both historical photographs and current artistic projects especially for the festival. These, as well as an extensive communication and mediation programme, were aimed at a broad audience as well as at
professional visitors. In this way, EMOP Berlin succeeded again and again in getting to know the diverse manifestations and forms of use of a medium in constant transition.

On the occasion of the 10th edition, the numerous visitors could also look forward to an extensive anniversary exhibition focusing on the capital and its international artists. Click here for the website.
